How many times a week should I work out my back?
How Much Should You Train? Like all muscles in your body, you can perform back exercises up to three non-consecutive days a week. If you’re lifting heavy weights—enough that you can only complete six to eight repetitions—you’ll need two or more days of rest before you perform the exercise again.
How long does it take to build your back?
Gaining muscle is a slow process. It can take about three to four weeks to see a visible change. You’ll see some real results after 12 weeks, but it “all depends on your goals, and what type of strength training you are doing,” says Haroldsdottir.
How often should back be worked out?
Leave at least 48 hours between back training sessions; you get results when your muscle fibers have a chance to recover and repair. You might do two to three exercises for the back as part of a total-body training session that also includes your chest, arms, legs, abs and shoulders.
