Do you need a special bra after a mastectomy?
If you had a mastectomy, it is up to you if you’d like to wear a bra or camisole unless otherwise told by your surgical team. Some bras are more comfortable than others to wear during this time. You have the option to wear a bra or camisole right after mastectomy surgery (with or without reconstruction).
What should I wear after mastectomy without reconstruction?
They may wear a t-shirt at home, a prosthesis for work or for dressy occasions. Some women may wear a breast prosthesis always, some women wear one rarely or not at all.
How tight should bra be after mastectomy?
Your breasts should fit snugly within the cups of the bra, if there is spillage at the top of the cup, then you should try a larger size.
